Okay, so we can guess what you may be thinking… what’s a silent disco and how can it possibly support a nonprofit marketing company?
A silent disco is a growing entertainment event in which participants are provided with high quality headphones that allow them to tune in to a playlist that has been pre-set by the party’s DJ. In this case, we at Civic Support have teamed up with Silent Storm in Boston (silentdis.co) to set up a pub crawl that will span four great drinking establishments, all within walking distance of each other. Those who support us by buying a ticket will be able to join in as we carry our own private party around the city.
So, if you buy a ticket what will be supporting? (Besides just supporting fun as a general concept).
We at Civic Support have been working on developing a series of workshops for nonprofits. Many nonprofits lack the time, skill set and funding to adequately market themselves, and therefore they have a difficult time connecting with their target audiences. Sadly, too often those organizations that are out there trying to do good work fail because those who needed their services didn’t even know they existed! Therefore, our workshops will be designed to teach them about things like social media marketing, search engine optimization, and much more.
So, for the price of a ticket you will get to spend a fun evening in the city of Boston, but you will also be supporting our workshop series. And by supporting our workshop series, you are effectively helping numerous other upstart nonprofits.
