As the new year starts, it’s a good time to reflect back on some of the successes of the past year:

  • Started a fourth year of our UMass Dartmouth internship program
  • Worked with several great clients including: Coastal Compassion, SouthCoast Fair Housing, and the New England Convenience Store Association
  • Moved our office to become members of GroundWork co-working space
  • Continued the Business Buzz for a second year
  • Awarded a mini-grant from United Way of Greater New Bedford
  • Revised and re-launched our website
  • Hosted a spring donation drive for C.A.R.E. animal shelter
  • Hosted a winter donation drive for New Bedford Homelessness Advocates

We are proud of the accomplishments of Civic Support this year, and are hopeful that we will have an equally successful year in 2017.  Some of our goals for 2017 include:

  • Hosting a Marketing Bootcamp on February 4th at GroundWork, thanks to the mini-grant from United Way of Greater New Bedford.  Deadline to apply is January 6th, 2017: http://civicsupport.org/marketing-bootcamp/
  • Seeking 2-3 new clients to assist with community outreach.  Interested in a free consultation to learn how we can work together?  Go to our Contact Page: http://civicsupport.org/contact-2/
  • Continuing the monthly Business Buzz events to continue #NOTworking with like-minded innovators.  Learn more about the Buzz here: https://www.facebook.com/businessbuzznb/
  • Hosting about (in)famous Civic Support fundraiser to provide us with further funds to hire and pay UMass Dartmouth interns.
